Our story begins a few years back...
In 2006, my husband and I welcomed our third child into our family. Hunter was a beautiful boy. But, he was tiny. He only weighed 4 pounds 12 ounces, and wasn't putting on weight as time went by. He didn't walk or talk when the average child does and he was always ill. When Hunter was 21 months, we met with a geneticist and that is when our son was diagnosed with a rare syndrome, Cornelia de Lange. (CdLS)
Hunter's diagnosis was bittersweet. Of course we were saddened for our son because of the obstacles he may face physically and developmentally, but we were finally able to become proactive and gain so much knowledge of CdLS.
Now, how does this story relate to Marcia's Meadow, you ask. Well, because of Hunter of course! As time went by, we realized Hunter's immune system was sensitive. We needed to be conscious of what we fed Hunter along with what products we put on his body. We added 17 chickens to our family for the fresh eggs, we began to garden and I taught myself how to make soap.
I fell in love with making soap. (I fell in love with the chickens too... but not so much on the gardening.) For me, soap making was therapeutic. Not only was I helping my son with his skin conditions, but I was contributing in being eco friendly. After time, my hobby became a business. Hence... Marcia's Meadow.
I have been making soap now for several years. Not only is our soap beautiful, but packed with oils and butters that nourish the skin. Olive oil is our top ingredient which is a wonderful moisturizer. Every bar also has organic shea butter, organic cocoa butter and/or avocado oil. 80% of our soap has goat milk and 20% is vegan.
Try our all natural products. You will be amazed at how long our soap lasts and your skin will feel renewed. Pamper yourself!
